The skin looks exactly like in the picture and was pretty easy to put on my Kindle. I bought this to protect my Kindle inside it's case after reading reviews that the straps on so many of the cases were leaving permanent marks on peoples Kindles. The decal for the back does not cover as far up the sides as I would like, but it covers enough that I believe it will protect from scratching. Over all I am pleased with the purchase.
