This Kindle Paperwhite Extended Warranties give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Would like to give zero stars
Strike one - I pre-purchased my Kindle on Sep 13 together with this warranty. Amazon did not charge me until they shipped the item, square trade charged me for the warranty immediately. So I was charged a full 17 days prior to the Kindle being shipped for the Kindle warranty. When I decided I did not want the warranty, I 'returned' this via Amazon website on Sep 23 and got a confirmation email from Amazon. Strike 2 - I hear nothing from Square Trade for 3 days. I called Square Trade on Sep 26 after hearing nothing from them and reiterated my wish to return. They sent an email confirming my return, then I got an email from Amazon saying i canceled my return (which I did not - I have done nothing but try to 'return' this warranty). I emailed Square Trade yesterday and have heard nothing. Strike 3. This is ridiculous, I have tried to return this 3 times and STILL have gotten nothing but the runaround. I can only imagine what it is like trying to get warranty service on the...
2. Don't Bother...
Don't bother spending the money for Square Trade warranty. This is NOT a replacement warranty Your device is only "insured" for a percentage of what you paid. 49.6% to be precise. For example, Last week I purchased a Kindle for $139, I also purchased a Square Trade warranty for $30. If I make a claim tomorrow Square Trade is going to pay me $99...total. So, for $30 I get $69 of coverage (plus my $30 back) on a device I purchased for $139. $69/$139 = 49.6%. I will grant you getting half the purchase price back is better than nothing but...
...You also need to go through the nonsensical, circuitous, labyrinthine sign-up procedure. To be honest I purchase the device and the warranty as a gift. The process for transferring the warranty to the recipient of the gift was less than straightforward. In fact, after 7 days, many emails, and a request for help I received an email that assured me it was all taken care of and no further action was needed on my part. Is the...

A bad experience, and the wrong item
So, this looks like what you should get for your brand new kindle paperwhite, and indeed, amazon suggests it to you.
Too bad this is a lie. First off, it has a maximum coverage of $99, and mine (no adds) cost me $139. Second, while you can call them up and get them to change it, they start the warranty the day you buy it, not when it ships, which is a matter of two weeks for me.
Granted, they have very responsive customer service, and it amy well be that being sold the wrong coverage is amazon's fault.
